One of the greatest things about becoming a full-time freelancer is that I have the control over my own schedule that I always wanted. When I'm feeling creatively burned out in the middle of the day, I have the freedom to throw my hands in the air, cry for a sec (because, it's me, let's not kid ourselves) and go for a jog or watch Youtube videos of baby turtles. This, of course, doesn't mean that I don't have to make up those hours, but because I'm not chained to a nine-to-five cubicle, I can work at 1am if I so please (cue Dolly Parton).
In one of these creative slumps, I began thinking about one of my favorite forms of art, and I thought to myself, "Self, I wonder if I can make that!" So, I started experimenting, and sure as sh!t, here we are! It's a fun little pastime, and I look forward to continuing it! I'll add more to this post as I go, but for now, here's what we've got!
